Meryl has led both sales and procurement functions. From 2001 to 2007 she was Chief Procurement Officer for BT Group where she led the globalisation of the procurement and supply chain functions in a fast changing dynamic sector. She has extensive knowledge of Indian and Chinese supply industries, and how to minimise risk in global supply chains. She is a recognised leader in the field of Responsible Procurement and writes a regular column on the subject in CPO agenda magazine. She was named as one of 24 “Leaders in Procurement” by Supply Management magazine and regularly speaks on a range of supply chain topics at conferences and seminars. She sat on the Government Taskforce for Sustainable Procurement, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and is a previous member of the Board of Management of the Institute.
